Walking through forests of palm tree apartments
scoff at the monkeys who live in their dark tents
down by the waterhole - drunk every Friday -
eating their nuts - saving their raisins for Sunday.
Lions and tigers who wait in the shadows
they're fast but they're lazy and sleep in green meadows
Let's Bungle in the Jungle, well that's all right by me!

- Jethro Tull
This month, the Mac Passionate have walked on the wild side, down by the water, through dense curtains of leaves and risked life and limb on this terrifying, madcap adventure down on the Dark Continent. Armed with only beaters, spatulas and pastry bags, we have pushed our way through the jungle, facing danger all in the name of the hunt! And we've succeeded! We've captured, bagged and, yes, tamed the beast, turning something wild and wooly or, quite possibly, feathered, into the perfect macaron! Here is the round up: macarons inspired by the hunt of the wild beast! We've made it out of the jungle, out of the wilderness that is our kitchen, alive! We have done Tarzan proud!

ReplyDeleteStunning. And I am still a kindergarten student macaron-wise. Why not have a macaron conference (in canada! :) )Honestly - the great bake-off in one room would be amazing... I would LOVE to learn from any one of these pros!
