Tis the Season....
To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring.

The world turns and time flashes by. Summer fades into autumn; winter melts into spring. A change of season can be gentle and lovely, welcome like a cool embrace or a warm kiss, flowers pushing up through the damp, dark earth or leaves of burnished gold or muted red floating lazily down. Or it can be violent and rude, flashing wild and hard, sudden searing, burning heat, or cold and harsh, flooding our world darkly. But a change of season never arrives unnoticed. Wisps of nostalgia accompany each season, emotions inspired, memories of childhood adventures, family vacations, honeymoons and birthdays, holidays or simply quiet afternoons with a warm breeze kissing your skin or sitting in a cozy kitchen watching the rain patter against the windowpane.
September’s Mac Attack challenge asked you to create a Seasonal Macaron, a mac inspired by the best of the season, a flavorful memory. The end of summer, the sweetness of the last days of plums and peaches; the beginning or an autumn laden with earthy chestnuts, tangy citrus or a warming cup of coffee as the temperature dips; the burst of spring flowers or berries…. Our macs this month have been kissed by all seasons, so many flavors, an abundance of memories.

ReplyDeleteSo many great flavor combos here. Just fantastic. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWonderful round-up! Sorry I had to sit this round out, was too busy. Looking forward to the next theme :)
ReplyDeleteThese look so delicious! Sorry I wasn't able to take part this month - I never quite managed to find the time! Looking forward to the next theme though!
ReplyDeleteWow. I love seeing your roundup and this seasonal theme is wonderful: just goes to show that the cooler climes approaching is something extremely positive. What a super variety of flavours. Thanks so much for continuing the macaron inspiration!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Jamie/Deeba, Jamie's lovely choc macs' link is broken. Please delete this comment afterwards, but thought you should know. Merci J xo
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jill, for the heads up! Fixed. Now I need to click on them all. Deeba's been running after her new pup and two teens, so this must have gotten away from her :-)
ReplyDeleteRedid it Jamie. Not sure what was wrong with it, but redid the link. Thank you Jill.... {yes Jamie, I'm still running!}
ReplyDeleteWonderful round-up of delicious flavours! I enjoyed this month's theme and look forward to the next one. Thank you Deeba and Jamie for organising these challenges.
